Eventually, lots of other people came down from the mountains and it wasn't the same any more. We packed up our picnic and walked back down to Hartsop to collect the car. We drove over Kirkstone Pass into Ambleside for pizza, and then all the way back to the B&B. Day six was over, but for a brief pause to take some photos of Ullswater.
