I have been pretty good at varying the menu this last week. We’ve had roasted root veg with various dips (a weird dinner, that one), spinach and mushroom lasagne (the boys requested meat next time), and a Waitrose recipe, roasted chicken with chorizo and cabbage.
This was very similar to the pork chops and cabbage deal that I mentioned a week or so ago, but without the cider or the creme fraiche, and therefore, of course, not as good. Personally I felt the success of the week was the spinach and mushroom lasagne (from Real Food).
Meanwhile, out in the tiny Rise blogosphere, Lisa bravely made a curry using a packet of spice mix, and Earthenwitch made a chocolate cake. I am not sure the two of you really get this project.

Um… blushes
Wait untl you see what I did this week

A commenter over at mine linked to this rather more in-the-spirit-of-things project. I now feel even shiftier.
But – !
I’ve posted a pizza recipe which I’ve not done for months. Is that suitably redeeming?
I came over to visit from Earthenwitch as pimping my ‘menus’ can only be an improvement. Beans and cheese on toast or soup seem to be increasing staples as I revert back to my student standby foods because they are quick and require no thought or effort.
Thank you for the cabbage related offerings, I have 3 cabbages as my veggie box seems to include them (along with carrots) every week (and my hamster doesn’t like cabbage).
I will cudgel my brain and try to remember what I used to cook when I cooked properly (ie not just cakes and a roast on sunday).
Another! http://www.turquoise.me.uk/2010/03/22/chicken/
