A former detainee at Yarl’s Wood immigrant removal centre tells of the pain and fear of being incarcerated there. I’ve also been following another story about Yarls Wood, in which a small baby contracts severe diaorrhea due to unhygenic conditions for making up powdered infant formula, and once the powder runs out is given nothing but dioralyte for several hours. Medics apparently see nothing wrong with this, nor any pressing need to source cartons of UHT formula.
