Here you see Bernard’s life in pounds and ounces. He lost ten percent of his birthweight in the first few days, and took three weeks to put it back on. He trickled along that 9th centile line for ages, and we just thought he would always be slight. Then suddenly he started to grow, and has put on more than half a pound a week lately. He has leapt up to the 75th centile.
He also surprised me this evening with a new skill. Pete was late home so I was bathing Bernard; I left him lying on his towel on the floor for a moment, and when I came back he had rolled on to his side. Sneaky or what?
So great to see he’s progressing well.
Has he managed to pee accurately yet? Usually only across sans nappy..
Don’t be surprised or alarmed if he turns suddenly chubby…especially when he’s around 11 years old…for my son, those chubby moments, some lasting a few months were quickly followed by surprisingly quick growth spurts.
