Aw, I'm sorry about the Gina-esque schedule. Best laid plans, mice, men, etc ... I'm sure he'll wise up about feeding in no time, the first few weeks are always an adjustment.

I know exactly what you mean, Graybo. My preconception of nappies was that they would be horrid, smelly experiences, and I would try to force an out-of-body experience just so that I could change the nappy without, y'know, being there.

In the event, they are crucial fact-finding missions. I've become quite adept at performing them solo, which I think is a great relief for Karen.

Sue: what are these diapers of which you speak? Do you mean nappies?

K+P(+B): it’s amazing how you will find yourself having long conversations on the subject of poo consistency and colour. Even after five months, we still marvel at it ("oooh! look! grey and solid!").

Han and I found the first diaper such a helpless experience that we laughed and laughed and laughed.

Uh, we did not seem to be in the know that meuconium =tar.

And I do find the name Bernard to be very much a cultural name, like * Harry* and Penelope.
